Theatre Jazz classes at Dexterity focus on Classic Jazz technique with commercial elements to include fitness, stamina and performance. Charlotte looks at not only building technique but confidence in the students and their abilities to perform. It is important for them to enjoy the process and get the most out of each class.
Charlotte studied at Harborough Academy of Performing Arts and was in the Leicestershire Arts and Education Youth Ballet. She then went on to gain a National Diploma in Professional Dance at the Northern Ballet School (validated by Trinity College London) Her subjects studied were – Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Double Work, Basic Acro, Modern (ISTD), Choreography, Pilates, Singing and Drama.
She then taught dance at a local dance school ‘Ministry of Dance’ and performed in many dance events and productions including:
- Universal Dance Creations, Brighton
- PEREIRA Productions – Dance Cabaret Show, Egypt
In the next 6 years Charlotte was the Production Manager and Dance Captain on MSC Cruises.
Charlotte also performed at corporate events around the UK including:
- Dancer (swing) for George Michael Tribute show ‘FastLove’ Tour
- Vegas Showgirls
- Funki Ents Dance Company
and has been a dance teacher leading various workshops for children of all ages in Lemon Jelly Arts.
