What we do in this class:
Contemporary Dance is the most popular and successful dance style at Dexterity. CDF is an evolutionary dance style that changes with fashions and trends, although training remains classical Contemporary. Estha’s unique training will teach classical Contemporary techniques such as Humphrey, Graham, Cunningham and Release combined with floor and contact work.
These classes also teach how to create new material through improvisation and how to choreograph solos and group work. Our Contemporary style asks the dancers to question their movement choices and empowers them to be decision makers in the process of dance composition.
This class is perfect for students studying GCSE Dance and A-Level Dance as Estha has successfully taught these subjects for 17 years and was formally an examiner in both.
All dancers perform in at least two large Showcases per year and our older dancers can progress to the Estha Jones Dance Company (EJDC), which competes and performs successfully at the highest level in the UK.

Estha has a proven track record in developing Contemporary dancers that go on to work at the highest level in this field.
